Please apply to Harvard University and mention my name in your application. There is no need to contact me directly unless you would like to share thoughts about our works. Due to the number of emails I receive, I may not respond to all emails.
I am an undergraduate student or master student, can I join your lab?
Yes, we have openings for undergraduate and master's students with strong motivations and engineering skills. However, we have the following requirements:
- Have taken at least one course in computer systems, e.g., Operating Systems, Distributed Systems, Computer Networks.
- Able to commit at least 20 hours per week for six months.
I want to work on machine learning, can I join your lab?
I do not work on machine learning. However, my group designs efficient and reliable systems for machine learning. If you are not interested in system building, this may not be the right fit for you.
I am applying for graduate school, can you write a recommendation letter for me?
I am happy to support your application, however, I can only write strong letters for students with whom I have had 20+ hours of interactions, e.g., office hour, project discussions...
I am applying for a green card, can you write a recommendation letter for me?
I can write you a letter only if we had significant interactions before.
